A New and Improved Potato Battery

Remember powering a lightbulb with a potato in science class?

The humble potato battery has gone high tech.  Researchers have found that by boiling a potato for 8 minutes improves it's electrical capabilities so much that it can power a small LED light for up to 40 days.  This could be a viable source of light and can replace the need for lighting alternatives such as kerosene lamps and candles.
